A Great Idea (AGI) is a justice-centered creative agency. Our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy explains how we use AI-enabled tools with human oversight—protecting original creativity, fair labor practices, and client trust—while staying accountable in advocacy-centric communications.

PURPOSE

A Great Idea (AGI) uses technology in service of advocacy, equity, and authentic storytelling. This policy shares how we approach AI-enabled tools while protecting original creativity, fair labor practices, and the justice-centric values that guide our work.

OUR COMMITMENTS

  • Original creativity, human-led craft: Our strategy, writing, and design are led by people. We use tools to support the work—not replace the creative voice, lived experience, or relationship-based collaboration our clients hire us for.
  • Fair labor and ethical production: We believe ethical communications require fair labor practices. We avoid workflows that rely on uncredited or uncompensated creative extraction.
  • Responsible use in advocacy-centric work: Advocacy-centered communications require care, oversight, and accountability. We prioritize accuracy, context, and impact—especially when work touches identity, health, safety, or other sensitive issues.

HOW WE MAY USE AI

When appropriate and with human judgment, we may use AI-enabled features to support:

  • Early ideation and brainstorming
  • Outlining and structural exploration
  • Accessibility and clarity improvements
  • Light production support (e.g., formatting)

THE REALITY OF EMBEDDED AI IN MODERN SOFTWARE

Many tools we use (design, writing, analytics, scheduling, and productivity platforms) now include AI-enabled features by default. Some of these features are integrated in ways we can’t fully control. We commit to assessing these features as they evolve, reviewing settings where available, and choosing workflows that align with client trust and our values.
